Reviews and Ratings of the Books I Read in April

I didn’t read many books in April. I have been focused on blogging and business. But I did enjoy what I read. One trade publication, one political history book, and one historical drama.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Murder Your Darlings is a book about writing books. It gives the best advice from all the writing books made over the years.

I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it for writers. It gave me a list of books to read as well as some good practical advice.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Last Kingdom is the story of a young nobleman of a northern England kingdom. He is captured by Vikings when he is young and raised by them. He struggles to know his place in life– English or Viking.

I enjoyed this swashbuckling adventure. Lots of action. Sword fights and political fighting. If you’re a fan of the time period, you’ll love this historical drama.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Political history book detailing events about the presidency from Reagan to Trump, from a conservative standpoint.

I enjoyed the book as a conservative, but I did find the prose a bit dry. It’s a history book. If you’re into the subject you’ll enjoy it. But don’t expect to be wow’d.
